An extremely rare gemstone of color changing Diaspore from a 2020 discovery in Pakistan. This has got to be one of the most beautiful gemstones out there. Absolutely stunning in sunlight! Top luster and superb color saturation.
Diaspore of this quality, up until this new find, was found exclusively in Turkey and was sold under the trade name Zultanite. The unique thing about cutting this material is that approximately 90% of the rough material is lost in the cutting process because of the stones natural cleavage so you would need a 10 gram piece of rough material to cut a 1 gram or 5 carat gem.
Metaphysically speaking Diaspore is known as the Mind Stone. It activates the third eye chakra and is an ideal stone for channeling and meditation. It heightens ones intuitive faculties and psychic abilities.
