Rare chance to own a vintage Koyudo Brush made with saibikoho hair. Saibikoho is the highest grade goat hair available and veryvery expensive [it is not for the faint heart]. Note that the vintage saibikoho goat hair does have a yellow tint towards the tips, this is normal as the fine tips appear almost translucent. Brush has a round ferrule, and a red lacquered handle maki-e painted with a gold flower. Brush is best suited for all over powder, setting, and finishing. Brush comes nestled in Koyudo's wooden paulownia box.
Cond: Excellent-very good, hairs are long and delicate, brush is airy, there is a small chip on the bottom on the handle, it not visible from the side [see photos]. All sales final, thank you for looking:o)
